What did Tim say after attending Michelle’s Persuasive Presentation Skills Masterclass?
“I loved learning a framework for success; and the tips and tricks on how to ‘act’ in a meeting or presentation. The masterclass was very well-paced with specific feedback. Overall it was fantastic, and Michelle has great energy. A true masterclass.”
What kind of presenting do you do at work?
My presentations scale from 1 on 1 to groups up to 100+. The audience is a mix of direct customer, partner and or reseller, sales teams, and conference delegates. My messages are constantly being tailored for these very different groups.
What prompted you to study with Michelle?
As an organisation we had a sales and marketing team with different levels of experience, training and presentation styles. Our CEO attended Michelle’s Persuasive Presentation Skills Masterclass himself and was so impressed he decided to send our whole sales team to Michelle for development.
How did Michelle’s teaching change your attitude to presenting in business?
I attended the training somewhat sceptical as to what I would learn and what value it would add. I loved learning a framework for success and the tips and tricks on how to ‘act’ in a meeting or presentation. It was well-paced with very specific individual feedback. Michelle was fantastic, with great energy. It was a true masterclass.
In general, what positive outcomes have you achieved from improving your presentation skills?
I am on the journey of doing less of the things that detracted from the impact of my presentations and more of the things that actually enhance them. I’m focused on how to engage the audience, address questions and position myself based on the point I am trying to make. Also, when creating presentations and drafting emails I refer back to the 4MAT principles to help provide an audience-focused structure.
In what specific ways have your presentation skills improved since learning with Michelle?
I feel my audience engagement has gone to another level and am more confident knowing that the skills I have integrated are “best in class”. Further, I now have a standard format for building and delivering presentations that I can – and do – easily refer back to regularly. My CEO has noticed that I have incorporated these new skills into my presenting which is excellent for my long-term career.
What were your top three take aways from Michelle’s teachings?
- I loved gaining a standard structure to build compelling presentations.
- I know know how to engage the audience and get my message across in the most effective way.
- I also enjoyed learning some key things that I needed to change about the way I held my body, projected my voice and connected when presenting.
