What did Narinder say after attending Michelle’s Persuasive Presentation Skills Masterclass?
“Excellent. I loved the techniques, Storyboarding, 13 steps and 5-Step Analysis to work out my leading statement. Totally enjoyed it. Got what I wanted to get out of it.”
What kind of presenting do you do at work?
I mainly present to my team, managers and suppliers.
What prompted you to study with Michelle?
My key reason to study with Michelle was to improve my general persuasive communication as well as my public speaking. I was very nervous before working with Michelle, and although successful in business I lacked some confidence on how to structure my thoughts. I do all sorts of training videos for my team and I wanted to be commanding and memorable so my team would watch the videos and do what I’m teaching when serving our valuable customers.
How did Michelle’s teaching change your attitude to presenting in business?
Being so busy with our rapid expansion, means I don’t have a lot of time to prepare for all my presentations. I love that all of Michelle’s models from the 5 Step Analysis to 4Mat and the 13 steps are so quick and easy to use. Michelle’s 2 day Masterclass provided me with a 13 step structure to work with. In fact, the 4Mat model: Why? What? How? and What if?/What else? plus Michelle’s very own 13 step model changed everything for me. I now know exactly how to structure my communication from an email, to a business paper, to informal conversations and formal presentations. It’s been life-changing.
In general, what positive outcomes have you achieved from improving your presentation skills?
My emails have improved because I get the message across in fewer words rather than writing long emails and confusing the reader. I am more persuasive in my negotiation as I no longer have nerves talking to groups of people. I can get to the point quicker because I actually now know what the point is. I’m clear on what’s not negotiable. I’m proud of my training videos. They help my team know what’s important when taking care of our valuable customers.
In what specific ways have your presentation skills improved since learning with Michelle?
I am more confident in general and I do not feel nervous like before. My phone conversations have gotten shorter because I am getting the message across a lot faster.
What were your top three take aways from Michelle’s teachings?
- 4Mat for structuring the message.
- Rehearse a lot before important presentations – it matters, so you need to put in the work.
- Use the 13 step structure to ensure your message is clear, persuasive and memorable.
