What is Speakers’ Club?

Speakers’ Club is a funky, contemporary and enjoyable way to practice your public speaking or business presentation skills.

We believe that anyone can be an engaging, confident and persuasive presenter – it’s just a matter of knowing what to do and doing it. The question is: where can you find a safe and interesting place with cool people to practice? Speakers’ Club is the answer!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to speak at the first meeting I attend? 

Only if you want to!  If you’d like to be one of the people who presents please email at least 1 week prior to the meeting and we will schedule you in. Gold Members get priority to speak on the night. If you’d like to be a Gold Member email and we will sign you up today.

Can I practice an important upcoming speech for my work? 

Absolutely! That’s the whole point!  Presentations from each member will go for 5 minutes and you’ll receive all kids of fantastic feedback from Michelle Bowden, the keynote speaker for the evening and the members.

How do I register to be one of the speakers on the night?  

Fantastic! Good for you!  If you’d like to be one of the people who presents please email at least 1 week prior to the meeting and we will schedule you in.

What should I bring to the meeting? 

Your joyous attitude and the spirit to learn and grow plus anything you need for taking lots of notes!

Do I need prior experience to be part of this club?  

No. You are very welcome! We just want to support you on your public speaking journey.

Who will run the Speakers’ Club meeting?

Michelle Bowden (CSP) will be your MC for the evening. For more information on Michelle Bowden please visit www.michellebowden.com.au. We will also have a guest speaker each time who will present a TED-type talk for the benefit of you our members.

Why is this different to other public speaking groups?

We will run this event like a professional conference.

There will be an MC, a keynote speaker, and the up-beat, fun vibe you’d expect at a professional event.
