I am Jose Galinato a cool Data Geek. Currently I am a Senior Data Modelling Analyst with Endeavour Drinks Group. I’ll be celebrating my 1st anniversary with the company in a couple of weeks. Most of my tasks revolve around SQL scripting to create optimized datasets needed for our dashboards. After leaving Michelle’s masterclass I made a concerted effort to use what I learnt from her in my daily tasks.

“Michelle, thank you so much for the wonderful and very useful experience you have given me throughout the course. I will definitely be using these learnings unlike the turkeys lol! I loved EVERYTHING!!! Michelle’s secret formula (13 step blueprint) is pure genius. Apart from that, Michelle has shared with us very important hacks that we can use daily regardless of the size of the meeting or if it’s just simple story telling. The course itself is not boring and definitely not one way. You will definitely be encouraged (not forced) to focus because she has a way to make us interact. Hence making our learning much more effective. I will start by mastering the Persuasion Blueprint as it has shown me that I can really improve on my presentation by simply following it. What kind of presenting do you do at work?
I usually do presentations about Proof of Concepts or any data analysis made on a specific topic. My aim in these presentations is to excite my audience about my work and convince them to buy in to my ideas.
What prompted you to study with Michelle?
I heard that Michelle was involved in an exciting partnership with AlphaZetta (who are delivering a series of excellent development opportunities for Endeavour Drinks). I knew that this was the opportunity I have been looking for.
I used to struggle to sell my ideas to my audiences. I felt my way of presenting was chaotic and a bit boring to people, despite the topic being really interesting to me! Thankfully now all that has changed!
How did Michelle's teaching change your attitude to presenting in business?
With Michelle’s teaching, I realised that presenting doesn’t need to be terrifying. There are formulas that you can follow and they make the task of presenting simple and fun.
How have improved presentation skills impacted on your job and your career in general?
Michelle’s Persuasive Presentation Skills Masterclass helped me 100%. Now that I can communicate my thoughts more clearly and sell my ideas more effectively, I was able to win a job promotion quite quickly. I was thrilled to see that I can use the formulas, tips and tricks in interview as well as in my daily tasks. It works everywhere!
In what specific ways have your presentation skills improved since learning with Michelle?
I am able to organize and structure my presentations more effectively. I am able to get the audience more engaged from the start of my presentations. I am confident that I know what to do to present well.
What were your top three takeaways from Michelle's teachings?
– Pacing and leading to build rapport – this has definitely helped me a lot
– Sexy slide at the start of your slide decks – this has been my go to in all of my presentations now
– With constant practice and following all of Michelle’s advice I am becoming more and more relaxed when presenting. Thanks again Michelle for the opportunity to learn from you!
