What kind of presenting do you do at work?
Prior to March 2020 my presenting was a balance between live One Day Masterclass workshop presentations to Dentists and Dental Teams, large Dental Expo Presentations as well as my small intimate coaching group program.
This has now changed dramatically. All of my presentations are online, online and online! I have pivoted to suit the needs of my clients, who are now preferring to work with me online.
During my Coaching Program I work with Dental Teams to help them improve their communication skills so they are able to convert more phone calls to appointments, prevent and reduce cancellations and offer an amazing patient experience to keep patients coming back.
What prompted you to study with Michelle?
After working in my own Dental Practice for many years and developing communication skills that helped our patients, It just made sense to share these skills and strategies with other dental practices.
I taught for many years so I knew I could teach but I needed to be able to present to people and persuade them to work with me.
My husband who is a Dental Coach and Speaker, had spoken highly of Michelle and the workshops she offered to help people be the very best presenters they can be.
Of course I jumped at the opportunity to work with Michelle and be part of her presenters course.
How did Michelle's teaching change your attitude to presenting in business?
Michelle showed me how to take who I was and what I was passionate about and help communicate this to my audience. I am now much more confident during a presentation, once you know all of the amazing little secrets that Michelle shares, presenting becomes much easier!
How have improved presentation skills have impacted on your job and your career in general?
I always knew that I would love to speak and present but always felt that I didn’t quite have what it took. I admired people that could so easily speak and present. Working with Michelle proved to me that once you know how then there is nothing to stop you being an amazing speaker.
I know look forward to presenting and have the confidence I once thought I would never have.
Working with Michelle and improving my presentation skills has definitely had a big impact on posturing me, as a leader and expert in my field. Now I have a steady flow of clients who look for me and want me to help their teams.
In what specific ways have your presentation skills improved since learning with Michelle?
Since I completed Michelle’s Masterclass I have much more clarity in my message. I stay focused on the outcome I am trying to achieve, and I now enjoy the process of communication much more during a presentation.
I have always loved engaging with people but now I have purpose in my engagement.
What were your top three takeaways from Michelle's teachings?
A big part of my communication skill set I have to this day is due to the work I did with Michelle. Michelle showed me:
– How to have fun with my audience.
– How to stay focused.
– How to weave in the many stories you have to share that are relevant to your presentation.
