- Remember to use the Rule of 3. Three slides per hour, three points per slide, and three words per point. This way your slides will summarise the ‘key’ points for the ‘visuals’ in the room.
- Slides are meant to reinforce key messages for your audience, not for you to cheat from! If you storyboard your presentation, you won’t need to include every last piece of info on your slides.
- If you believe your audience needs more detailed information, consider giving out more complex slides as a handout for after the session. So you would create 2 copies – one would be the content rich copy of the slides, and then your would ‘save as’ and delete most of the information so it is a ‘condensed’ version of the original document.
